Because each item is bespoke, our delivery and returns processes are a little different from standard retail. Please take a moment to read the following information carefully.
Delivery
Our Promise: We’re dedicated to making the journey of your handcrafted furniture to your home as smooth and worry-free as possible. From the moment your piece is complete to its arrival, we’ll keep you in the loop.
Making Time: As every piece is individually created to order, the time it takes for delivery will depend on the intricacy of your design and where we are in our current crafting schedule. We’ll give you an estimated timeframe when you place your order and will keep you updated if anything changes along the way.
Bringing it Home (Delivery Costs): The cost of delivery is calculated based on the size, weight, and where your furniture is going. We’ll provide you with a detailed delivery quote once your piece is ready to leave our workshop and before we process the final payment. We partner with specialist furniture delivery experts to ensure your treasured piece is handled with the greatest care.
How Delivery Works:
- Crafted to Perfection & Checked: Once your furniture is finished, it goes through a thorough quality check to ensure it meets the Spindlelegs standard of excellence.
- Let’s Schedule: We’ll get in touch to arrange a delivery date and a timeframe that works for you. Please make sure someone will be there at the agreed time to receive and have a good look at your new furniture.
- Expertly Delivered: Our trusted delivery partners are specialists in handling bespoke furniture. They will carefully transport your piece to your chosen spot within your home (as long as access allows). This usually covers ground floor and first-floor access. Please let us know about any tricky access (like narrow doorways or stairs beyond the first floor) before delivery so we can make the necessary arrangements. There might be extra charges for deliveries that need extra hands or special equipment.
- Your Inspection: When your furniture arrives, please take a good look at it for any signs of damage before you sign the delivery receipt. If you spot anything, please make a note of it on the receipt and let us know straight away. Photos of any damage are also really helpful.
Returns
Our Unique Creations: Because our furniture is made specifically to your individual needs and choices, we generally can’t accept returns or offer refunds if there’s no fault with the item. This includes situations where you’ve changed your mind, the furniture doesn’t quite fit as you imagined, or you’re not happy with design choices that were agreed upon during the order process.
Working Together on Your Vision: Your satisfaction is paramount to us at Spindlelegs. We’ll work closely with you to make sure your furniture is crafted exactly to your specifications. We encourage you to carefully review all the design details, measurements, and material choices before you confirm your order. We’re always here to answer any questions and offer our expertise during the design journey.
If Things Aren’t Right (Damaged or Faulty Goods): In the unlikely event that your furniture arrives with damage or has a fault from our workshop, please follow these steps:
- Note it Down: If you see any damage when it’s delivered, please make sure it’s clearly noted on the delivery receipt before you sign.
- Tell Us Quickly: Please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery, with all the details of the damage or fault. Please also send us some photos as evidence.
- Finding a Solution: We’ll carefully look into the issue and work with you to find the best way forward. This might involve a repair, replacing the damaged part, or, in exceptional cases, a complete replacement of the furniture.
Your Rights: Nothing in this Delivery and Returns policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
