The whole piece serves as a visually striking centrepiece while simultaneously providing a practical solution ensuring that beverages and snacks remain secure and within easy reach.
With a traditional ottoman as the baseline there was a starting point to use tessellation and geometry to solve the problem of holding food and drink in the relaxed environment of the traditional living room.

There is an established ‘throw-over’ style that exists for the arms of chairs, a style that uses ‘bendy’ slatted wood but I was driven to create something that would embody my own unique vision of colour and form. This ingenious design breaks free from the constraints of traditional ottomans, transforming them from mere footrests into versatile companions for entertaining and leisure.
